Where festive delights and winter wellness meet

Nestled at the foot of Germany’s Black Forest, Baden-Baden transforms into a sparkling winter fairy tale during the festive season. From November 27, 2025, to January 6, 2026, visitors can immerse themselves in festive cheer at the city’s “Christkindelsmarkt” – the Christmas Market. Around 100 decorated stalls line the market, offering traditional crafts and handmade gifts. Regional delicacies, mulled wine, and sweet treats like roasted almonds and gingerbread tempt the senses at every turn.

The gourmet igloos are the culinary highlight – an exclusive Christmas Market setting, where cozy atmosphere meets indulgent fondue and raclette specialties. For a more traditional experience, try the Bratwurst im Brötchen (German-style hot dog) paired with a steaming mug of mulled wine by local wine makers. The new guided walking tour “Baden-Baden at Christmas” showcases the charming old town, the romantic spa district, and, of course, the Christmas Market, where visitors enjoy seasonal treats while learning about the town’s and market’s history.

After exploring the Christmas Market, your festive journey in Baden-Baden continues: Take a stroll along the Lichtentaler Allee, a picturesque promenade beside the River Oos, or unwind in one of the city’s world-famous spas. For those seeking a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the market, an evening visit to the Caracalla Spa is pure magic: soak in the steaming outdoor pools as the thermal water blends with the glow of the moonlight, creating an unforgettable moment of relaxation and winter charm.  Whether you are drawn by festive traditions, culinary delights, or soothing wellness moments, Baden-Baden offers a truly enchanting winter escape.
